Je suis de retour en France, dans cette Baie de Somme particulièrement inspirante et propice au travail.
Je vous invite dans mon atelier de Noyelles qui sera ouvert au mois d’août – à partir du 7 – les vendredi, samedi et dimanche de 14 h à 18 h.
J’attends votre visite pour vous faire profiter d’une tasse de thé dans le jardin.
En dehors du week-end vous pouvez me contacter pour convenir d’un rendez-vous car je travaillerai dans mon atelier la plupart du temps – 0033 0670930700 – .
J’ai aussi le plaisir de vous informer que Nick et Judy m’ont invitée à exposer une nouvelle fois dans leur galerie-salon de thé « Le tearoom » fin août . Vous recevrez l’invitation sans tarder.
Si vous avez vu mon exposition en ligne « New departure » sachez que j’appellerai la nouvelle « New arrivals » car vous y verrez les peintures « en vrai » ainsi que beaucoup de nouveaux tableaux.
Voici la nouvelle maquette de bateau que j’ai commandée en Espagne il y a plusieurs mois, avant le confinement.Je viens juste de la recevoir et j’en suis enchantée.
Je suis sure que c’est le même bateau que nous prenions de Douvres à Calais quand j’étais jeune. Il a été mis au rebut en 1988…
Je ne sais pas ce que je vais en faire mais je suis pourtant certaine qu’il va m’inspirer. J’ai toujours dit que seules les qualités picturales d’un bateau sur l’eau m’intéressaient mais je me sens devenir une vraie « ship spotter » et je pourrai même faire un dessin détaillé de celui-ci.

I am back in France , á la Baie de Somme and finding it particularly inspiring and conducive to work.
I am writing to invite you to my studio in Noyelles which will be open in the afternoons of every Friday and weekend of August between 1400-1800hrs starting on 7th August.
I hope you can come and and visit me there and have a cup of tea in the garden.

Also, I am pleased to say that Nick and Judy have invited me to have another exhibition in their gallery/salon de thé, “Le Tearoom”, later in August for which I will send you details and an invitation soon .
As you know, my online exhibition is called “ New Departure “ so I am calling my next show “New Arrivals” where you can come and see the paintings “for real” now that they have arrived in France as well as many new ones.
This is my new model boat which I ordered from Spain many months ago before the lockdown. It has only just arrived and I am thrilled with it.
I am sure it is the same boat that we used to take from Dover to Calais when I was young. It was scrapped in 1988.
I don’t know yet, what I am going to do with it but I am sure it will inspire me somehow. I always said that I was only interested in the pictorial qualities of a ship at sea but I can feel myself becoming a real “ship spotter” and I may even do a detailed drawing of it.
